3D Webcam Information

The webcam pictured has been developed exclusively by 3DT. With patent pending technology, this hi-resolution USB2 webcam provides out of the box 3D capture capabilities.

The camera comes with a suite of 3D applications and drivers: 3D Camera Driver, 3D Media Center, 3D Camera Sharing, ActiveX Control for viewing 3D in web pages.

Custom Drivers!

Third Dimension Technologies is pleased to announce new custom drivers are available for download.

These drivers control the individual cameras on the 3D unit. The drivers offload alignment correct, zoom, and other functions to the hardware. This saves considerable CPU resources for compression and streaming.

In the coming weeks, Third Dimension Technologies will introduce "kernel" mode drivers for the 3D camera.

This is specifically intended to support the latest versions of Skype.

Kinect stereoscopic 3D streaming drivers are currently in development and should be available for download in the 3rd quarter.

3D TV Format Support

3D TV output formats are now supported by camera driver and media player.

The camera driver outputs in many formats. 2 new options have been added for 3D TV formats: Side by side half resolution and full resolution.

The media player also supports rendering any 3D video in side by side full screen formats for 3D TV.

Most, if not all, 3D TVs support side by side formats. Manually put your TV in 3D mode, and select side by side input format. (See your manual).
